CATEGORIESR01 - Small Residential Design - under 2,500 sq. ft.
R02 - Large Residential Design - 2,500 or over sq. ft. C01- Hospitality Design - hotel, restaurant, retail, etc. C02- Institutional Design - education, museum, public spaces C03- Healthcare Design C04- Workplace Design O01- Original Product Design carpet, fabric, furniture, lighting, etc. N01- New Student Spotlight Commercial Year one and two students interior design projects N02- New Student Spotlight Residential Year one and two students interior design projects RN01- Computer Generated Rendering one image per submission RN02- Hand Rendering one image per submission P02- Portfolio NEW THIS YEAR: Gold Winning entries will be printed and displayed on the Saturday afternoon after winners are announced and again at the Excellence in Design Awards Gala. As an added requirement to each submission, students are to choose from one of the provided templates (CLICK HERE FOR TEMPLATES) and add the project photos that they would like displayed. Students have the ability to choose from any of the provided templates for their project presentation. This is IN ADDITION TO individual photos that are uploaded into the CPJAM platform. This presentation board will not be judged. |
RULES AND GUIDELINES
1. All students must submit work using the CPJAM/Design Awards Network site: https://asid-sc.cpjam.com/2024-Student-Work-Competition site.
Each student will create an account to use for registration and submission: https://cpjam.com/account/create
2. Must be present at ASID South Central Design Summit Conference on April 13th, 2024 to accept awards in person. Otherwise, awards will be forfeited.
Student Design Competition Awards will be given out during the Lunch presentation at Design Summit.
3. No names or school names should be visible on project work. If visible, the student will be disqualified. (Except Student Portfolio Category.)
4. Each student can enter up to two projects per category. $20 entry fee for student member and $25 per entry fee for non-members for each project. Payment is collected via Square on the CPJAM/Design Awards Network site.
5. Any undergraduate work is eligible for the competition. Winning projects from previous SCC ASID competitions cannot be resubmitted.
6. Winning categories include Gold, Silver, and Bronze. All winners will receive a certificate. Gold winners will receive a cash award.
7. SCC ASID Competition Administrator reserves the right to divide a category further if there are an overwhelming number of submissions.
8. A project can be submitted in multiple categories with the following requirements:
10. Judges reserve the right not to give an award in a category if they feel there is not a project of award-winning quality. All decision of the judges is final.
11. Each submission must include a minimum of one .jpeg image file to be used by the site as the “cover image” for the project. This can be a rendering from the project that is also found in the other project graphics. Other files that are uploaded for the project may be .pdf, .png. etc.
12. Students must include the following information for each entry: Project summary, Project Concept, Project’s impact on lives. There are areas in the registration process for this information to be entered.
13. Winning entries and contestant identity, including photographs, may be used for publicity by SCC ASID. Winning projects will be published on the CPJAM/Design Awards Network site, and the .jpeg cover image along with the student name and project title will be posted.

- Each category will be judged independently and only by the material submitted in the category. For instance, a judge will not go from one category to another to view drawings, boards, etc. The project materials must be duplicated to submit multiple categories.
