Keynote Speaker 1 - Diminishing Sparks
During our first Keynote we will learn how to diminish sparks that are no longer a positive light. In 'Tackling Toxicity from the Inside Out', the audience is taken on a 1-hr compassionate journey of self-discovery of their own toxic BS. In a continued conversation from Kimberly's book, “We’ve All Done It: Getting Real About the Role We Each Play in a Toxic Workplace”, every person will be challenged to consider when they were maybe, just maybe, bringing some of the FUN to Dysfunction.
In this engaging workshop led by leadership expert Kimberly Benoit, you’ll:
1. De-stigmatize talking about toxic or dysfunctional mistakes as a leader
2. Gain self-awareness of how they are showing up in a current challenging situation
3. Understand options of how they might show up differently
4. Have a first step for future challenges that will inevitably come

Community Spark - Learn from Building Momentum
Enjoy experiencing the mission of Building Momentum and learn ways to contribute to the growth of design in the community.
Building Momentum was born out of a desire to provide this type of opportunity to students across our state. We are a wide range of professional Interior Designers, Architects and Engineers who all share one common goal – introduce a broader spectrum of high school students to careers in the design field.
Our focus is shaping a future that increases diversity in interior design and architecture by building momentum towards an equitable foundation for future designers. Our hope for this ASID Chapter, is to create the energy, with the thought that if other professionals can see the work Building Momentum is doing, they will want to join as well. With each design firm that agrees to join the movement, the more students in our state can be reached.
